How to play truth or dare over text
This version is made for couples who are not in the same room: long distance, a work trip, or opposite ends of a long day. You draw a prompt here and send it to your partner in whatever app you already use to talk. They answer the truth or do the dare by message, then it is their turn to send you one.
- Pick a category chip. Truths come in Funny, Deep, Flirty and Spicy. Dares by message come in Photo, Voice note, Emoji only and Screenshot.
- Read the prompt that appears. If it is not right for tonight, tap Skip to draw another.
- Tap Copy, WhatsApp or SMS. Only the prompt text is sent, with no link attached.
- Wait for the answer, the photo or the voice note. Reply to it properly before moving on.
- Tap Next prompt, or send your partner this page so they can draw one for you.
What the truth and dare categories mean
There are eight categories, four truths and four kinds of dare, so you can match the prompt to the mood and to where your partner is right now.
Funny truths are for a quick laugh between meetings. Deep truths ask about fears, hopes and what you miss, and suit a slow evening. Flirty truths are teasing and warm. Spicy truths are suggestive and stop short of explicit, so they are best sent when your partner is somewhere private.
The dares are all things a phone can do. A Photo dare asks for a picture, usually a selfie or whatever is in front of them. A Voice note dare asks them to say or sing something, which is the closest thing to being in the room. An Emoji only dare turns a reply into a puzzle. A Screenshot dare asks for an honest look at their phone, such as a home screen or the last song played.

Keeping it fun for both of you
A message lands without your tone of voice, and you cannot see where your partner is when it arrives. Ask before you start: "Up for a round of truth or dare?" is enough. If they are at work or with family, stay with Funny and save Spicy for later.
Either of you can skip a prompt or stop at any time, and a simple "pass" is a complete answer. Do not push for a reason, and do not send the same dare twice.
Photos, voice notes and screenshots stay on the other person's phone, so only send what you are comfortable with them keeping. Never forward or show anyone what your partner sends you in a game. That trust is what makes the bolder categories possible.
Give answers room. A slow reply usually means a busy day, not a problem. When a truth gets a thoughtful answer, respond to it before you fire off the next prompt.

Yes. The game runs in your browser with no account, and the prompts you draw are never stored or sent anywhere by the game. Copy, WhatsApp and SMS hand the prompt text to your own messaging app, and nothing is kept when you close the page.
What are flirty truth or dare questions over text?
