Your love language
Quality Time love language
If Quality Time is your love language, attention is the gift. You feel loved when your partner is fully with you: phone away, eyes up, no rush to be anywhere else.
In a relationship this shows up as treasuring walks, shared meals and long talks, and remembering the days you spent together more than anything you were given. The flip side is that cancelled plans and half-listening hurt more than they might for someone else. Being in the same room while scrolling does not count.
What helps: say clearly what kind of time fills you up. For some it is conversation, for others it is doing something side by side. Protect a regular slot in the week so it does not depend on a quiet calendar.
For a partner: put the phone in another room for an hour. Ask a real question and follow up on the answer. Plan something simple and keep the date. Twenty focused minutes most days does more than one big outing a month.
